Ukraine Emergency

Humanitarian emergency in Ukraine

The war has displaced more than a quarter of Ukraine's population, with 14 million people forced to flee their homes.

More than 6 million people have fled Ukraine, while 8 million people are internally displaced. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, has stated that the humanitarian consequences of this emergency will be devastating, with countless lives torn apart.

“I have worked in refugee crises for almost 40 years and I have rarely seen such an incredibly fast-rising exodus of people.”

UNHCR is providing urgent protection and aid for those forced to flee, both within Ukraine and in neighbouring countries such as Poland and Moldova. But as the number of refugees rises exponentially each day, we need more support to provide urgent relief.

Please donate now and help people fleeing Ukraine in their time of need.

UNHCR has been working in Ukraine for around three decades to provide humanitarian assistance wherever necessary. But as the crisis escalates, we need your help to provide immediate protection and shelter for those forced to flee their homes.

We will keep you posted on the latest developments of this crisis and how your donation is making a difference.
