Regular giving

Every year, thousands of people flee their homes and countries to escape conflict, violence, disaster and persecution. Hungry, thirsty and exhausted, they need help – fast.

Your regular gifts support UNHCR’s Emergency Response, allowing us to go straight into action. UNHCR is often first in and last out in a refugee crisis. Thanks to you, we can have our teams on the ground within 72 hours, providing desperate families with shelter, water, food, medicines and other essentials of survival.

There has never been a greater need for the work of UNHCR, with an unprecedented number of people fleeing for their lives – 79.5 million people worldwide.

Our emergency teams are trained in areas including negotiation, site planning, camp management, relief coordination, human rights and protection, shelter, water and logistics. They remain on standby, ready for immediate deployment anywhere in the world.

Your support helps to keep our emergency warehouses fully equipped so we can respond quickly with tonnes of survival items such as tents, blankets, bed mats, plastic sheeting, water containers, mosquito nets, jerry cans, kitchen sets, stoves, solar lanterns, soap, medicines and hygiene kits.
