Lebanon Emergency

Donate now to send life-saving aid to families fleeing deadly attacks.

Airstrikes have killed thousands of people and forced many more to flee. Over a quarter of the country is now under Israeli military evacuation orders.

It is now over a month since deadly attacks on Lebanon escalated sharply. Children, medical workers and UNHCR staff are among those killed.

The humanitarian situation in Lebanon is dire. Homes have been destroyed. Medical centres have been forced to close. Schools have been converted into shelters for displaced people. Families are packing up their entire lives in cars, cramming into buses, and even taking to the road on foot. They are arriving at shelters or at border points exhausted, traumatised and hungry.

"My daughter is so exhausted," said Rafah, a mother of three who fled her home in South Lebanon. "I can barely afford bread but I would rather stay hungry than fear for my children's lives."

With your support, UNHCR is working around the clock to help those arriving at displacement centres inside Lebanon and across the border in Syria.

Please donate now to send life-saving supplies to families on the run.

"There is so much destruction in the south, so many missiles. We barely escaped death."

Lebanon hosts the largest number of refugees in the world per capita. There are around 1.5 million Syrian refugees in the country. Together with Lebanese nationals, they are among those most affected by this crisis.

UNHCR has been working in Lebanon for over 60 years, assisting both Lebanese and refugee communities in times of crisis.

At the Syrian border, UNHCR and its partners are providing critical supplies such as food, water and blankets to families forced to flee.

Inside Lebanon, dedicated teams are working with authorities to provide shelter, relief items, emergency cash, healthcare and psychological support for displaced families.

But as the violence continues, the people of Lebanon urgently need more help.
