Unite for Peace

The FIFA Women’s World Cup brings people together across borders. We stand united in our shared love of football.

But football is more than a game for refugees.

Right now, 110 million people are displaced by conflict, disaster or persecution.

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, uses sport programs to empower refugees who have been forced to flee their homes – especially children and young people.

Sport provides a sense of normalcy in a situation that’s far from normal. Football gives children a chance to run, to laugh, to play and to dream. A coach provides guidance and mentoring. Team mates become family.

Will you give refugees a chance to play the beautiful game?

Please donate now to help us build sports facilities, buy equipment and educate coaches. Together we can share the joy of football with refugees.
