Aiming Higher

Donate now to provide a life-changing scholarship for a young refugee.
;

Talent is universal. Opportunity is not.

Education opens up a world of opportunity. But refugees face many challenges when it comes to accessing education at every level – particularly higher education.

Refugees who dream of attending university are hampered by high tuition fees, language and legal barriers, and incomplete qualifications due to the nature of displacement.

Just seven per cent of refugee youth have the chance to enrol in university, compared to 40 per cent of non-refugee youth globally.

We’re committed to increasing the number of refugees who can enrol, learn and thrive. Will you help us break down the barriers?

Scholarships transform lives

Your donation can provide a DAFI (Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative) scholarship that enables a refugee to complete an undergraduate degree. This is a gateway to better employment, self-reliance and a brighter future.

This scholarship enabled Najwa, a Sudanese refugee, to earn a degree in biochemistry in Egypt.

“Education is just as important as water and food,” says Najwa. “It elevates you and allows you to have a better life.”

Creating a new generation of changemakers

Your donation can provide a DAFI scholarship covering the cost of tuition, books, meals, accommodation and transport for an ambitious young refugee.

DAFI scholars have gone on to become doctors, engineers and architects, among many other professions. They are also passionate about giving back to their communities and making a difference.

Will you make a refugee’s dreams come true? Donate now.
