10 Years In Review

Over the last 10 years, Australian donors have raised more than $30 million in support of UNHCR projects around the world. These are just some examples of how these funds have helped improve refugee lives.

What we have achieved

Since it was established in 2000, Australia for UNHCR has transferred more than $30 million to support UNHCR's international humanitarian operations.

80% of this funding has been used to support UNHCR's emergency operations. Many of these are 'silent emergencies': disasters which take place out of the media spotlight but which have led to mass displacement. The committed support of Australian donors has enabled UNHCR to go beyond meeting the immediate needs of refugees and the displaced and look to longer-term solutions. These are just some examples of how these funds have helped improve refugee lives.
