Australia for UNHCR is the fundraising office for the UN Refugee Agency in Australia with a small team of around 25 permanent staff and numerous volunteers. Keep checking in regularly to see what positions are available.

Position: Office Administration Assistant

Reporting to the Executive Assistant to National Director your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Executive Assistant with the day-to-day management of the office
  • Managing office stationery and equipment
  • General office administration such as mail, couriers, printing, scanning, copying and filing
  • Event support such as managing invitation lists including RSVPs.

To be considered for the role applicants must possess:

  • 12 months experience in a similar role
  • An excellent standard of verbal and written communication skills
  • Great team attitude and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Face to Face Fundraising

Position: Australia for UNHCR Frontliner

Australia for UNHCR is looking for enthusiastic, motivated people to join its Face to Face fundraising program. Our frontliners work in small teams in shopping centres and street locations interacting face-to-face with potential donors to support the work of the UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR. The program raises funds for refugees around the world who are protected and assisted by UNHCR's Emergency Response Teams.

If you think you can engage, inspire people to support a worthy cause this could be the job for you!

Hours: 9am - 5pm Mon- Sun (working a minimum of 5 days per week).

Locations: Sydney CBD and suburbs (easily accessible by public transport).

To be part of our professional passionate team you need to have:

  • Excellent communication skills;
  • The ability to relate to all types of people;
  • Passion, drive and reliability;
  • Friendly, fun-loving personality;
  • Previous face-to-face sales or customer service experience and
  • Current working visa or permanent residency.

The position offers an hourly rate of $18.61 per hour + bonuses, achievable performance incentives, opportunities for promotion and full training and support.
