Jane Turner

One of Australia's most popular female comedians, Jane is creator, writer and executive producer of Kath & Kim in addition to performing the role of Kath which followed a long list of roles in Australian television comedy programs-Big Girl's Blouse and Something Stupid, Fast Forward and Full Frontal.

Jane is dedicated to sharing to the stories of refugees she has gathered firsthand from her visits to refugee camps in Chad, India, Sri Lanka and Kenya, the latter hosting the world's largest refugee camp in Dadaab. She commented that the Dadaab mission was one of the most challenging field trips she had undertaken and that she was more motivated than ever to encourage Australians to make a basic but life-saving difference to those living in camps like Dadaab by supporting shelter, water, health and education programs.

"When you see the difference that a few dollars can make out there in the field, it really lifts your spirits," she maintains. "And Australia for UNHCR makes this kind of giving so easy."
